The government of Nepal, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Nepal-India Regional Trade and Transport Project (NIRTTP) funded by the IDA/World Bank, is seeking the following qualified and motivated consultant to work on the time-based contract. Expressions of Interest (Eols) are invited from interested individuals within 15 days from the date of publication of the notice. Interested candidates are expected to send their applications with CV by email on the address mentioned below or may handover hardcopy to the following office. Trade Development Adviser (Cont. No.: . NIRTTP/PCO/S/IND -104
At least a Master's Degree in Management or Business Administration or Economics or international trade or trade finance. An additional or higher degree related to international trade would be considered as an advantage. At least 10 years' experience of International Trade or Trade Facilitation as a manager or expert level or in trade/commerce/finance related government organizations. Extensive knowledge of practice in trade-in countries other than Nepal. Experience in trade-related multilateral institutions would be considered an advantage. At least a Bachelor's Degree in a discipline; Civil Engineering or relevant field with minimum 10 years of work experience especially in procurement. Preferable: Postgraduate degree in a similar field. At least four years of working experience as procurement and contract management specialist/consultant in a World Bank-funded project will be preferred, Excellent knowledge of the Government of Nepal's Procurement Policies, VAT, and Tax System
