Popular banker and former CEO of Mega bank Mr. Anil Keshary Shah has been appointed as the new CEO of Nabil Bank. The Board meeting held on thursday has appointed him as the new CEO of Nabil Bank.
Mr. Anil shah had been working as the CEO of Mega bank since its establishment. Completing his tenure and complying the Banking and Financial Institutions Act (BAFIA) he had left Mega. Though he was appointed as a CEO in Century Commercial Bank, he couldnt take the position due to certain remuneration issues.
Starting his banking career from Nepal Grindlays Bank (now standard chartered bank) in a trainee position , he became CEO in Nabil Bank and led the bank for around 5 years. Anil then joined Mega and served for 8 years. Nabil had achieved a tremendous financial success back then in his tenure. "Privileged to be returning to Nabil Bank, Nepal’s first joint venture bank! Truly excited to be a Nabilian again " he says.
