Dr. Yubraj Khatiwada has been appointed as the finance minister for the newly formed government of Nepal under Prime minister KP Oli. He has taken his oath for his designation and secrecy from Honorable President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.
Dr.Khatiwada has obtained hid Phd. degree in monetary Economics from Delhi school of Economics. He was appointed as the vice Chairman of National Planning Commission in 2009 A.D. After that he was appointed as the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank and was reappointed as the Vice Chairman of National Planning Commission.
Dr.Khatiwada had previously served as the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank and also as the vice chairman of the national Planning Commission. So, he possesses indepth knowledge regarding the subject matter. Thus, it has been expected that his appointment as the finance minister will ensure the much required positive changes in the Nepalese Economy.
